 | | STEP 1: Typesetting Typeset the stamps and print them onto Ideal® vellum paper. STEP 2: Exposure Place the vellum on top of the exposure glass and cover with an Ultimark clear protective plastic sheet. Place stamp text plates on top of the clear sheet aligned with the copy below. The stamps have been placed with sufficient spacing so the operator easily can position the text plates. The printed exterior border on your artwork is used to align the outside non-print area of the text plate. The border is the size of the complete text plate (which is larger than the print area). This makes it easy for the operator to make sure the text plate is centered and aligned to the artwork below it. After you have placed all of the text plates on top of the artwork, close the top of the machine and activate the flash exposure. | | Exposure glass of UM-4000 | | | |

STEP 3: Assemble the Ultimark Stamp Insert the text plate face down into the retainer ring. Place the pre-inked ink cartridge on top of the text plate and snap the retainer into the mount. The ink automatically is transferred from the ink cartridge to the text plate. The inking process is completed in less than an hour (on most sizes). | Ultimark mount with the patent-pending automatic adjusting retainer ring and exposed text plate. | | The ink cartridges and text plates are packed in conven-ient, easy-to-use in plastic storage cases. Indexing the Stamps The stamps have a full width label on all sizes 3-inches (75mm) wide and smaller. Index labels with alignment grids make indexing easy. Just print the label and apply it to the stamp handle. A clear plastic index cover protects the message and gives the stamp a clean, finished professional look. This adds to the perceived value of the stamp. | | Indexed Ultimark stamp | | Ultimark Stamps are Easy to Re-ink Just remove the handle to expose the ink ports. Place a few drops of ink in each tower and the stamp will recover to the original impression quality. | | | Ultimark ink is available in convenient 6cc bottles. | | | |
