M&R's ENGINEERS researched the ergonomics of handle design, stamp use and tenon strength. They determined that the three standard sizes of handles could be replaced by two ergonomic handles. The traditional size #1 wooden handle looks good on smaller mounts but does not fit well in your hand. The traditional #2 and #3 size wooden stamp handles look good on larger mounts but are not considered ergonomic. In addition, the larger wooden handles are expensive. THE SOLUTION became quickly evident. Design one handle that would fit comfortably in your hand and take the place of the traditional #1 and #2 stamp handles. Then develop a handle that would take the place of the traditional #3 size stamp handle with the same attractive, ergonomic style. SAVE TIME & MONEY! The majority of the stamp handles used are the #1 and #2 size. When using these handles, the stamp maker has to take the time to determine the size they think would be appropriate and then change the drill bit to accommodate each of the three handle sizes. You will also find the attractive IDEAL plastic handles are priced lower than traditional wooden handles. THE NEW IDEAL SIZE A replaces the #1 and #2 wood sizes. This saves time since there is no need to change the drill bit in between sizes #1 and #2. This also allows for easier inventory management.
